Hey! I still have a blog! I got so busy with LIFE that I forgot all about blogging. LOL! I'll be ecstatic if I even remember how to post this. ;) So far, so good!

I recently decided to Disney'fy my kitchen. However, I quickly learned anything with Disney and Mickey is spendy. And there is not a lot of kitchen specific Disney items to choose from out there. So when I was bored I thought I'd cut a little Disney heartbeat sticker out of vinyl and stick above the stove on the hood vent. Just a little touch of Disney... Well... that got me going. LOL!

I ran out to the craft room and cut this Disney image out to put on extra lazy susan I had laying around. I think it was originally created for a scrapbook page? I am not sure. But it had that big open square that I needed to fill. So I ended up using a K monogram to personalize it for my kitchen.

Look out appliances! I've got vinyl and I'm coming for you!

No Soliciting Sign

Good morning my lovelies! I just wanted to share a sign I made for the front stoop. I have dogs. One of which is a mastiff. She's still a puppy but at 140 pounds of  uncontrolable jubliant chaos on four legs, its REALLY hard to keep her from taking people out as they stand at the door. And with a two pound chihuahua as her faithful sidekick its hard to hold back the beast and still capture the mighty ankle biter before she gets to you too. Its just better you call ahead. Trust me. Anyways. I absolutely loathe solicitors. My feeling is, if I wanted something, I'll seek YOU out. You don't need to come to me. Especially in this day and age. I am so leary of opening the door to someone I don't know. And don't get me started on the religions that go to door to door. I have no problem with any religion, its just I believe as I believe and nothing you say is going to sway me towards you. And if your god is so great, you don't need to go door to door selling him. Thats just my thoughts on it. AND I have a kid. Yes he's old enough to answer a door but I don't want him to if we aren't there. For reasons stated above. So I decided to make a sign. Was going to do something cute like what is on pinterest. Like 'unless you are selling thin mints..." but then decided it would be too cute and they'd still ring the bell because its cutesy and I probably put it there for looks. I'm a pretty straight forward gal. So this was to the point but still pretty. I used my cricut explore. (Yes I upgraded!) to weld everything together. Birds are from Hannah Montana I think. I will have to get used to writing the info down again for blogging. My apologies! And I think i googled flourishes on the program and came up with this design by cutting and welding. I changed fonts for the 'answer the door' part so it would stand out a bit better. I 'might' have added a bird or two too many but all in all, I really like it! I used coraplast for the sign material since it would be outside and outdoor 651 oracal vinyl for the lettering.
It works! Two ladies started to come to my door but stopped when they saw the sign. LOVE IT!

Buckeyes & Duck Cups

Good morning everyone. Going to really try to get back into blogging and posting pics this year. I got to the point that I felt everyone was already doing and posting so anything I showed wouldn't be new or exciting. But then came to the realization that no matter what I do, its still a bit different. Its my take on said project. And it 'might' be interesting to some. And it doesn't hurt anyone to post. So I should do it for 'me' above all but if it helps another than thats awesome too. With all that being said -- here we go. Blogging - Take 2!

So, any of you football fans? I am not over the top like some but I do love my Oregon Ducks. And my husband is from Ohio so he's a big Buckeye fan. I am too. They've sort of grew on me. BUT what is a girl to do when two of her teams compete against each other? I was soooo stressing out. So in order for me to keep my calm, I worked on the two images during the game and then during half time went out and cut them on my new Explore. My husband loved how his cup turned out and I'm pretty happy with mine too. It was done quickly and has some flaws but nothing too noticable. I used design space and oracle 651 vinyl. The glasses came from the dollar tree.

Hope you enjoyed the project. Have an amazing day!

Oregon Hat

Been a very long time since I posted. I am sure my craft room has spider webs. UGH! But I will share my hat I made with my Knifty Knitter from Provo Craft. I made it with White, Green, and Yellow yarn for an OREGON DUCKS fan. It was my first time adding anykind of monogram to it. So I am sure my skills at that will get better with time. Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

Beware of the one eyed boobie snatcher!

Hi everyone. Its been so long since I posted anything and I apologize. A few of of you knew that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were devestated. she first had a lumpectomy but unfortunately she had to go right back in for a masectomy. When mom and I are scared or nervous we crack jokes. So I couldnt help it. I had to make this card. Its been awhile so I am guessing on the details. But I do believe I used Mini Monsters on this.  Take care everyone!

I Believe In The Craft

Yep. I admit it. I believe in the craft! Whether it be with a bug, an imagine, my G, the knitter, the cuttle, or simply paints or drawing with a pencil or some crayons.... I believe in crafting so much that I made a big ol' sign for my craft room stating as such. :)

I had so much fun with this. I used my Everyday Cricut Cartridge and my Locker Talk Cartridge to cut out some really adorable images. Layering til my fingers bled. Okay. They didn't bleed. But you get the point. LOL!

Tell me what you think! Do you love it?

Cheers!

Hello everyone! I finally got an opportunity, or should I say carved out a few minutes, in the craftroom. My dear friend Donnas birthday is today and I needed to get a card made for her. I grabbed the Simply Charmed cartridge for it and was very happy with the results. Images cut at 3.75" and placed on a 5" card. Very simplistic but oh so adorable. I can't wait til' we look like this dancing in vegas. LOL! I don't think I've played with this cartridge yet and I have no idea why. The images are darling! So you might be seeing alot of this cartridge over the next month as I explore it. I think since I started or shall I say ended the PDDU series, I have taken a hard look at my unused cartridges. I think I have a passion for buying but not truly exploring or appreciating them. So I need to take the time to play with what I have. It will save me money to do so, but more than that, it would be good if I knew what I actually HAD! :(

Hope everyone has an outstanding weekend. xo K
